Be a Co-Creative Partner In Your Healing Journey...

When you decide to go to a doctor or healer of any kind, do you assume they will do all the work? That they have all the power to make you well or find the solution(s) to what ails you and then fix it once and for all?

If you are nodding "yes", I relate. I used to feel that same way, especially with wellness providers, like massage therapists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, and energy workers of all genres. i handed them all my power and said, "Fix me."

Every healer and client wishes it was this easy!

Then, as I dove deeper into my own journey as an acupuncturist and sound healer, I began to see some repetitive truths replay themselves again and again...I clearly saw that anyone's healing journey is not solely in the hands of the wellness practitioner...it absolutely needs to be a co-creative process where both practitioner and client work together to help the client along their healing journey.

Everyone of us has an "inner healer" within us that is showing us why we are not well. This inner healer is the all wise, all knowing part of ourselves that can, and will (if you ALLOW it), show you exactly what you need to do to feel better and to get back to homeostasis...and stay there.

Yes, your practitioner has skills to assist this journey, but you, dear client, can hasten your healing journey by looking within yourself and through various techniques, can work with your inner healer to more swiftly transcend the hurdles of disharmony.

Some of these techniques are as follows, but not limited to:

  • therapeutic journaling

  • meditation

  • visualization

  • spending more time in nature

  • obtaining a healthy mindset where belief, gratitude and positivity rule

  • emotional expression

  • creative expression

In the not too distant future, I'll offer courses that cover all these and more, to assist you on your healing journey.

Until then, here's a powerful therapeutic journaling process that can be profoundly eye-opening for you: Get a blank journal or notebook for your healing journey. In it, write at the top of the page, "What is my disease / pain / symptom(s) trying to tell me?". Then, begin to free-write rapidly for at least 10 minutes without stopping. Don't edit, just write ALL that comes to mind without stopping for a solid 10 minutes.

Even if the only thing you can think of to write is, "I don't know what to write. I don't know what to write." Write that over and over for 10 minutes

What happens when you begin to free write is that the subconscious mind, also known as your inner healer, will begin revealing your deep truths to you...including the why, how, who, and what related to your physical, mental, and emotional disharmony.

Then, you have information to work with with your healing practitioner.

You will often be given additional tasks or activities to embark upon. All designed to help heal you. This is priceless information coming deep within you.

This will teach you deep, deep self-reflection and build your intuitive muscle.
